How to Use
the Message Board

UPDATED: Sunday, October 29, 2000

This page provides practical advice on how to use the message board as easily as possible. Much of the development of this page will be in response to questions posed by users.

Key Concepts

  • How the "EZBoard" system works
"ezboard.com" is a free advertiser-supported message board service with its own servers and administration. Our PWB Twinning Network message board is one among many thousands of such board-based discussions. For its commercial goals, the hosting service understandable encourages "membership," but we have tried to make it as clear as possible that membership or log-in's or passwords are NOT required for you to use the service.

  • FORUMS
In this system, a "Forum" is a general category of discussion which is set up by the moderator(s) of this message service. We can have as few or as many different forums as we as a group discern to be useful.

  • TOPICS
A Topic is a particular focus or subject within a Forum which invites discussion and replies.

  • "THREADS" A "thread" is the whole series of replies directly connected to a single TOPIC. If what you really want to say does not the Topic to which you are replying, you should start a NEW Topic within either the same forum or one more appropriate for your concerns.
