| Since 2001, the Cambodia Mission Team of Maryknoll has hosted two students from the University of Notre Dame in the United States who come to work and learn in Cambodia during the summer. This year Shanna Gast, who will be a junior in 2009-2010, and , Lauren Hoedeman who will be a junior also, came to Phnom Penh. Shanna is from the state of Kansas and Lauren is from Minnesota in the United States. |

30 June 2009 Today Shanna and Lauren visited the Deaf Development Programme, one of the six projects of Maryknoll Cambodia. After getting an overview of the DDP projects, Celina Campas explained the workings of the education project at DDP. |

After visiting the Deaf Development Programme, Shanna and Lauren joined Celina Campas and Charlie Dittmeier for lunch. After the meal, Celina gave them directions for returning to the house where they are staying while she and Charlie returned to work. |

3 July 2009 Every Friday night the Philippine Catholic Lay Missioners in Phnom Penh have a small liturgy in the house they share with Lisa Pirie. Fr. Charlie Dittmeier usually is the priest who celebrates with them. Today Shanna Gast and Lauren Hoedeman joined the small group and then had dinner with them afterwards. |
