| Maryknoll partners are organization or individuals who work closely together with Maryknoll. They are not members of Maryknoll, but they share the same vision and goals, and we assist each other in the development of Cambodia and the spread of the Good News.
For a third time, Maryknoll this year (2002) is "partnering" with Notre Dame University in the United States as a host for two Notre Dame students coming to Cambodia to learn about life and ministry in a developing country and to offer their time and energy and skills to that development. Mike Kelly and Matt Reisenauer arrived 22 June and will be with us for eight weeks. After two weeks of orientation and meeting the Maryknoll people and their ministries, they began teaching summer courses in English at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. |

25 June 2002 Mike and Matt went with Charlie Dittmeier to visit the Cambodian Disabled People's Organization's deaf program and then drove across the Bassac River to the deaf school run by the French NGO called Krousar Thmey or New Family. Here they observe some of the work of students in one of the lower grades. The school, started in 1997, has added one grade each year and now is up to Primary Five. |
