Photographs of the Clinic and Counseling Center

Margrethe Juncker from Denmark is a volunteer physician for the center in addition to being full-time mother of five children under 13 (with her husband in Uganda). Here she is in the center's reception area which also doubles as a counseling area before and after AIDS testing.
An AIDS education team Twice a week Seedling staff go out to village areas with educational materials about AIDS.  They start talking to one or two people on the street and soon a curious crowd gathers to hear their presentation.  Many people here are ignorant of the disease or burdened with dangerous misconceptions.
Men making flower baskets The center has a clinic for diagnosing and counseling people with HIV/AIDS, and it also tries to provide creative and meaningful work for patients when they are physically well enough. Here two men with AIDS make hanging flower baskets which will be sold in a local garden shop.
The cook preparing lunch for the staff The range of activities of Seedling of Hope is quite extensive, from AIDS education to testing and counseling for AIDS to home and hospital visitations to a hospice for people with AIDS. Here a cook prepares lunch for some of the staff.
