9 September 2010 --Peg Vamosy, from Stamford, New York, joined the Maryknoll Lay Missioners in late 2008 and went to her first assignment in East Timor in January, 2009. The Maryknoll Lay Missioners phased out their placements in Timor in 2010 and Peg decided to transfer to Cambodia. She is a horticulturist and hopes to be involved with agriculture in Cambodia. |

2 September 2010 After a canceled flight that kept her in Singapore an extra day, Peg arrived in Phnom Penh. She had visited earlier this year but now she was coming "home". |

Her next stop after the airport was the house she will be sharing with Susan Sporl while Peg is in language school. Meeting Peg at the airport and accompanying to her new house were Sami Scott (left) and Lindsay Doucette. |

4 September 2010 After her first mass with the English-speaking Catholic community as part of the Cambodia Mission Team, Peg went to a pizza place with Lindsay Doucette, Bill Burns, and Bob Wynne. |

8 September 2010 The following Wednesday, at her first weekly meeting of the Cambodia Mission Team, Peg was officially welcomed and given a gift. |
