Jim Noonan

Jim Noonan was one of the first Maryknollers to come to Cambodia after the Pol Pot era and has been a mainstay of the international community and of the Maryknoll community here for many years. His vision of the world, based on the Gospel, has led to the creation and development of quite a few programs to serve the people of Cambodia. Most recently he has served as the director of Seedling of Hope, a network of projects that together form Maryknoll's response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Cambodia.

John Barth giving a gift to Jim Noonan 11 February 2009

Now Jim Noonan is leaving for a year-long sabbatical. Before he departed for New York and the Maryknoll headquarters there, he was honored at the weekly Maryknoll meeting and liturgy and dinner. Here John Barth presents a small gift to Jim.

Celebrating with a cake Jim Noonan is genuinely loved and respected by the Cambodian people and the foreign community. His many years of service and his many contributions to the people of Cambodia were celebrated with a cake shared with the Maryknoll community and other friends.
