Sr. Bernadette Duggan

3 September 2008 -- Sr. Bernadette Duggan is a Maryknoll Sister who just celebrated the 40th anniversary of her profession in June. Her assignments over those four decades included 15 years in the Philippines, then 15 years in Bangladesh, then several years working in the sisters' headquarters in New York, and now almost 2 1/2 years in Cambodia. She has just come back to Cambodia after her jubilee celebration but soon will be returning to the States to practice her nursing skills at the sisters' home for their aged and infirm members in New York.

Celebrating Bernie's birthday 10 September 2008

Today was Sr. Bernie's last day in Cambodia. Tomorrow she returns to the Maryknoll Sisters' Center in Ossining, New York. Her birthday is this month, though, so she was included in the celebration for those we remember in September.

Receiving a birthday card After blowing out the candles and cutting the cakes, Sr. Bernie received a birthday card from the whole community, presented by Alice Marianito.
