Lindsay Doucette


30 January 2010 -- Lindsay Doucette, from Indianapolis, Indiana in the United States, has joined the Maryknoll Lay Missioners group in Cambodia. A member of the Lay Missioner group of 2010, Lindsay arrived in Phnom Penh on 24 January to begin langauge school in preparation for her work in Cambodia.

Liturgy at Bethany in New York 11 November 2009
Lindsay Doucette participated in the orientation program of the Maryknoll Lay Missioners from August through December, 2009 at the lay missioners' center, called Bethany, in Ossining, New York. Here Lindsay (yellow top) participates in a liturgy led by Charlie Dittmeier, a visiting missioner from Cambodia to which Lindsay has been assigned.

After completing orientation, Lindsay came first to Thailand where all the south Asian Maryknollers have an annual retreat and meetings in January each year. Here she shares a seat on the bus with Lisa Pirie, another Maryknoll Lay Missioner from Cambodia.
Welcoming ceremony in Thailand At the first liturgy celebrated by the Maryknoll group in Hua Hin in southern Thailand, Lindsay and Jim Kofski were welcomed into the larger group known as Maryknoll Asia South.
Lindsay, Sami Scott, Lisa Pirie Finally arrived in Cambodia after ten days in Thailand, Lindsay participated in her first meeting of the Cambodia Mission Team. At the liturgy afterwards, Lindsay received a peacemaker T-shirt. Here she is joined by fellow Cambodian lay missioners Sami Scott and Lisa Pirie.
