15 February to 2 March 2010
16 February Most of the FAB participants met in New York but some joined the others in Seoul, and from there the whole group traveled together to Phnom Penh. The Korean Airlines flight arrived about twenty minutes late but soon everyone had obtained a visa and recovered luggage, and then the group exited the arrivals hall to meet the five Maryknollers who had driven to the airport to welcome them. No time was wasted there, though, and soon the group was in Phnom Penh at the guesthouses which will be their base for operations for the next two weeks. |

Adel was the organizer on the Cambodia end for this Friends Across Borders trip in conjuction with Cecilia Espinoza who is the manager in New York of the FAB experiences. Former Cambodian lay missioners Dave Saumweber and Judy Helein accompanied the group from the US and are acting as guides each day. They know the local people and places and also the Khmer language so they are well-suited to introduce the FAB group to mission in Cambodia. |
