Many people join Maryknoll as priests, brothers, sisters, or lay missioners because they have a vocation to that type of mission life in another country. Many others are interested in and supportive of mission but cannot commit to years overseas. Some of them are able to go to mission countries for shorter terms, though, especially to learn firsthand what mission in the 21st century is really like.

The Maryknoll Lay Missioners have a program called Friends Across Borders which gives interested people a hands-on experience of mission in one of the countries where the lay missioners work.

These pages are photos of a group of US Catholic people on a mission exposure trip to Cambodia where they will observe and participate in the projects Maryknoll operates there.
