Because our Maryknoll budgets have been cut so much, this year I took the bus overland from Phnom Penh to Bangkok. The new start-up no-frills airlines have cheap tickets but they can't beat the bus, especially when the departure taxes and taxis to the airport are included. The disadvantage of the bus is that it takes 14 hours as opposed to 55 minutes!
