'PWB" Web Page Hosting Service Available to Selected Ministries |
This PARISH WITHOUT BORDERS (or "PWB") internet address
Most of the work done on this website is volunteer effort, but most such efforts require a bit of reasonably-professional internet expertise and consistent sponsorship. The PWB website was launched with a grant from mission-spirited benefactors with a special place in their hearts for the good work done by Maryknoll. The project continues under the ongoing sponorship of Pastoral Arts Associates of North America (PAA), a respected publishing resource for U.S. Catholic parish ministries, established in 1977.
"Links" to sites which meet our criteria are always FREE. But we CAN do more, if our style of website meets your needs. We try to be space-efficient, inviting and browser-friendly. We sure know how to do "slick" sites, but that's just not what we do here. We believe any visitors to a site such as ours really are looking for help, resources or inspiration, are not just "surfing" and are not impressed by time-consuming fancy effects.
If you are looking for a quality home for a website supporting an outreach important to you personally, your parish or your diocese, you'll want to consider becoming part of this Parish Without Borders internet Family. Any project we host gets its own link on our home page.
Any such website is a "site within our site." A very pertinent example is "Cambodia's Journey of Hope," a labor of love maintained by Dan Onley, PAA's founder-president, in support of ALL Catholic mission iniatives in that forgotten, wounded country.
Another such site-hosting project is MISSION CONNECTIONS, the online edition of the bimonthly newsletter of the Mission Office of the Diocese of St. Cloud:

An Invitation . . .
is becoming home to an increasing number of ministry initiatives with a common purpose, that of connecting the resources of U.S. Catholicism with the needs to the global community. We try to support EVERY such worthwhile initiative, whether by a parish, diocese, religious community or even individual people at least with thoughtful linking to their own websites.
Cambodia's JOURNEY OF HOPE
perhaps about 1/5 of what today's web design and hosting folks
would charge you for the same technical services!
However, you're getting help from publishing professionals who know the internet,
are happy to work with internet-bashful folks busy with their ministries,
and who care deeply about Mission.)
